An Update Plan gives you access to newer software versions released during the plan's coverage period. Both the one-time purchase option and the subscription option provide 12 months of updates from the date of purchase.

An Update Plan is not required to keep using the software version you already have, but it is required to access newer versions released outside your covered period.
