Why are thumbnails or media metadata missing from my reports?

Check the Media Options in General Settings. The Perform Media Analysis On setting determines whether ShotPut Studio analyzes video files, audio files, or all media files. The timing setting controls when analysis runs during the job.

Metadata and thumbnails can only be included when the necessary information is available in the source media and the corresponding analysis settings are enabled.

What should I do if media analysis is unreliable or causes performance issues?

Try disabling Use Cached Media Libraries in Media Options. This makes ShotPut Studio load media libraries for each analysis operation instead of keeping them in memory. The process may be slower, but can be more reliable if cached media libraries are causing issues.
