The latest myLTO update allows for an index to be loaded upon connecting a drive and a tape, which shows the complete contents of your tape. After writing to this tape you may wonder why the files you just wrote to your tape do not appear in the index. This issue can be fixed quickly and easily.
The index does not automatically update when new folders/files are added to your tape, therefore, you must refresh the index. To do this, first unmount your tape, and then click the refresh button in the Deck Options View.
Upon doing so your tape may spin for a varying amount of time depending on how much new data has been written to the tape. Once it has completed, your tape's index should not display the new folders/files.
